Accessing the Blend & Bloat tools

Is there a way to programmatically access existing Illustrator tools?

I am particularly interested in applying the Bloat & Blend tools to different shapes that I will create programmatically.

Any clues on how to do that?

There's no way to access Illustrator's effects or other plugins through Scriptographer - you need to make your own implementation of each effect.

Haven't heard of a decent blend or path simplification script, but here's a rewrite of the punk/bloat filter I wrote for similar reasons.
