I have an intel mac at home, and I wish I can use this great plugin there too

There is a possible solution involving GCJ, as described here: http://www.scriptographer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=204

This would mean no JVM is needed anymore, so theoretically Rosetta could run the plugin in emulation. Unfortunatelly, a system call used in GCJ avoids it from running under Rosetta too.

We will see if that will work or not. Unfortunatelly there seems to be noone volunteering for this change in GCJ, so I guess I will have to do it once I get my hands on an Intel machine.

As long as I have no such machine, no progress will be made here of course...

I'd be happy to test things out if there is something that might work. I'm not much of a programer, but I could report errors/ test. Would this help?

I have an intel machine here to test on now, but development is far from a version to even test on, and there is a great risk it will never work on CS / CS2...

I'd love to help with the development too, but sadly lack the experience needed. Would a good donation/financial support help motivate you to spend the time on the Intel release, or are the barriers just too great?

Are we better off waiting for CS3?
