lines the same colour as a background so they disappear

How do i actually get this to work?
I have typed and selected some text, then hit the scan button..but nothing seems to happen.

What am I doing wrong?

The script looks great in your pics...can't wait to use it!

Works on paths not text, so create text outlines.
Also remember to select two (and only 2) items before clicking Scan:
1) the item to be scanned and
2) a clipping area above it - usually a rectangle
There are brief notes in the comments in the script ;-)

The website was turning my script into a 13K file of nothingness
It seems to trash text files so here is a zip.

V2a now added 5 May
Small changes to the handling of narrow peaks
and parameter names in the dialogue
As before, notes on parameters are in the header of the script.

Doesn't work in CS5 osx 10.6. What ever I try i recive only horisontal lines without any snow peaks.

It's working I had older version of scriptographer installed.

I run Windows CS5 so I cannot test your problem directly.

Please upload a small .ai file that shows the problem -- before and after running the macro on your system.

I suspect there is a small difference in Sg functionsbetween Mac and PC ... particularly in intersect .. that only Jurg Lehni could help us with.
