A new version 'Isect' that is more accurate in its curve fitting.
This uses intersection points rather than hits.
This will process a group of paths , a compound path or text outlines
as shown in the example file attached

sadly, Scriptographer does not work with CS6 and later
It is very sad that Adobe changed the interfaces so much.

This is a great script,thank you!

I keep seeing this error:

"Need 2 items for processing - target item and clipping shape above it"

What am I doing wrong?

try a simple test with a big rectangle covering a small circle or ewctangle
select both and run the script.
let me know the result -- but remember this does not work after CS5
