Crumpler is a mouse based tool that folds vectors like paper.

  • Clicking any item in the document starts treating it as a sheet of paper.
  • By dragging the mouse, the paper is then folded away from the nearest corner or middle point on the side of it.
  • If the item to be folded consists of a group of multiple items, their sequence is reversed on each fold to produce a visual effect of seeing the front / back side of the paper.
  • Combine this with transparency settings to get a see through effect of half-transparent paper, as demonstrated in the movie.

Hello,

I'm also experiencing problems using this script (within CS3, win XP). I updated Java to 6u22 and have the latest version of scriptographer. Easiest way to describe this problem is - objects doesn't fold from the desired corner and there's always a gap between folded part and the one which isn't. Nothing like in that tutorial video. Not sure if anyone already solved this so if you did please let me know.

After looking at the files it turned out to be due to an outdated version of the script. If anybody else experiences this, just make sure to download the latest version from here.

Stopped working with last Scriptographer-update [solved]

Hi, just want to tell that your script has stopped working for me with the last update of Scriptographer (see attachments below to see what happens).

[edit] Hm... downgraded Scriptographer to v2.8.055, but the problem persists. I know it worked on that version before. Any idea why this happens?

[edit 2] Please disregard. The problem was due to merging new Scriptographer folder with the old one. Stupid me :P

My specs: Illustrator CS5, 64 bit Windows 7

Doesn't do anything. In Safari, it opens in a new tab; click it and the tab closes. In Chrome, it opens in a new window; click it and the window closes. In Firefox, it simply re-opens the same page in a new tab (like hitting a link coded with only a '#'). So, unfortunately, I can't see what it's supposed to do.
