The number of x,y grid of dots are equal to the number of x,y image pixels, open the script and you will see...

on CS3 it's ok!

this kicks ass!

A nice variation would be to allow 100% black to be a larger circle, so adjacent circles would be overlapped, creating completely black areas. Like good ol' fashioned printing halftone dots...

How do I do that! Like what I see but....

Just downloaded your app and was testing to make dotted illustrations from a black & white picture but was not able to do it, just following some basic, selecting a scrip and runnng it.
I don't see any how to use the app, jus lots of programing for scripting. My interest as a graphic designer is to make doted illustrations and use them in layouts for print media. Is there a step by step how to do this? Also where do I get the dots or dot scripts? I'm using a MAC OSX.

I appreciate your help
