Text Pencil lets you draw with text.

Note: To use Text Pencil you will need to download and install the latest version of Scriptographer (2.8.050 or above)

I used an earlier version of Text Pencil to create a poster

New features in v1.5:
• Allows the use of non monospaced fonts
• Draw with words
• Perfect spacing (turn it off for less perfect spacing)
• Select the position in the text with a popup list.

Ah, it's because you don't have the font Verdana installed (in the Tool it's the standard font) - anyway, this is fixed. please try once more.

I've tried reproducing your bug, and the only way I get the same error is when I 'play' the script instead of assigning it to a button.

This really is a great tool. I've been looking for a way to create typographic illustrations such at the ones here: http://www.ni9e.com/typo_illus.html

I was wondering if maybe you could develop a version where the size and orientation of the letters are more randomized? As of now I'm manually changing the font size, and going in after the illustration is complete and rotating some of the letters for a more random look, but as you can image it's very time consuming. If not this is still a very great way for me to easily create the images I need. Deep thanks!

I have windows XP and illustrtor CS, this is a error message in the console when I want to refresh the text. I have see too that there no touch "enter" like Mac version.
