Windows 7 + CS4 32 bit missing MSVCR100.dll

Dear all,

I've recently upgraded from windows xp to windows 7.
I'm still using CS4 32bit.

After installing (copying the folder) and lanching illutrator, i get a error message and a missing Dll.

MSVCR100.dll

How or where could I resolve my problem.

I ran into the same problem on some students’ PCs. I solved it by doing the following:

  • Find the msvcr100.dll file. I got it from C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin.
  • Copy it to your Illustrator folder, eg C:\Program Files\Adobe Illustrator CS4\Support Files\Contents\Windows
  • Open Illustrator.

I hope that helps, if you haven’t already solved it.
