Scriptographer.org - Cannot create JAVA VM

i already installed scriptographer and
java RE 6.0
and it worked fine when before
but after I upgraded to win xp sp2
i keep getting this 'cannot create java vm'
and 'cannot create ScriptographerEngine'
messages.
so, I did installed java vm( java Virtual Machine)
which i didnot install back then.
i dont know why i have to install Java VM?
It worked just fine with only java RE - lastest version.
Now I have installed Java VM
but not working. what's going on.
It is beause of my upgrade to xin xp sp2?
anyone?

same problem. after updating java to v.6 update18 i get "unable to create Java VM/unable to create Scriptographer engine" when i start my Illustrator CS2 under WinXP32.
I also don't find any jvm.ini anywhere

Could you please check if there are any files in the Scriptographer log directory and see if they contain anything meaningful? Thanks!

same problem as above. running windows xp sp2 and java v6 update 18. and its cs3

as a noob. how and where is the log directory?

same problem here and there is nothing in the logs file at all (windows xp home edition and AI CS)

Could you all please try the fix describe here (on 3rd page) and let me know if this solves the issue? installation problem

thanks for the active support

a lack of memory was indeed the issue and the tip worked for us

When you unzip the file it is crated a second folder in the scriptographer folder, where are all the files, it's Scriptographer_CS3... -> scriptographer -> doc/java/scripts/aip-file. So I copied all the 3 last folders(doc/java/scripts) and the .aip to the scriptographer_cs3 folder and it was ok then.
