hi

I'm getting started with scriptographer, and I'm loving the idea of it, but I'm having a hard time finding documentation. The reference contains a list of properties and methods, and sometimes a short description, but still I am missing an overview of how things work. I browsed this forum, and 2 years ago Simon posted that it was necessary to understand what the Art function is, and pointed at a link which is now broken (scriptographer.com/API) (the post is here http://www.scriptographer.com/Forum/Help/paths ). Did that link contain an overview in the past?

By googling I haven't found any tutorial, and lastly I downloaded the IllustratorCS3_Javascript_Reference.pdf from adobe.com without finding any answers on the Art function, I'm guessing it's an original scriptographer function and the API documentation won't help, correct me if I'm wrong.

Also I found a tutorial by Simon on the forums named turotial 02, on color, but I couldn't find the tutorial 01 mentioned.

Any pointers on where I can get an overview would be much appreciated.

I browsed the forums a bit more, and I'm guessing I might not find the overview I'm looking for anywhere, since the docs are a work in progress. So I'll ask directly if you can shed some light on the Art object, I'm guessing this could be the starting point to understand how drawing works with SG.

I don't know why I couldn't find tutorial 1, I found it through google:
http://www.scriptographer.com/Forum/Help/Tutorial-01-Circles
and here's tutorial 2 for reference:
http://www.scriptographer.com/Forum/Help/Tutorial-02-Color
Looking forward for the tutorial 3, on paths. :-)

so going through tutorials, specially the part of printing the selected objects on the console and seeing their type, I'm starting to understand that Art is the class for any type of object present on the AI canvas, and by looking at the reference scaffold I can see what kind of subclass it might be (path, raster, etc). so I guess I'm slowly starting to understand things, and I might find my way around with the current reference. still I'll leave the whole post here as it could help seeing how the docs could be improved. btw let me know if you need a hand with that, I'd be glad to help.
