Scriptographer.org - how to use the raster scripts

hey ho.
i downloaded scriptographer and many scripts - and i love it!
the only thing i do not understand: how work the raster scripts?
do the work on bmp or jpeg files? i tried a lot and nothing worked.

ive tried too, no luck. did exactly what the tutorial showed (placed small jpg, drew circle,selected both, selected 'object raster' and pressed play, then nothing.
but im not even getting as far as the dialogue box,

any help? thanks!
