Hello Jürg, a month or more ago I started writing about some installation and stability problems on this thread. Well, at the beginning of June I upgraded my computers to Windows 7 and all my problems are over now. Scriptographer is working perfectly with Illustrator CS4 on my Windows 7 64bit system.
I'm sorry that I couldn't give more detailed information on the crashes. I thought that you might want to know.
Anyway, thanks a lot for the great software and the support.

Psykonaut, that's great to hear. I added an additional check for available memory on Windows before creating the virtual machine, which should solve the issues introduced by recent versions of the JRE. So far there were no new complaints on the forums so it seems to do the trick. Thanks for reporting back.

I'm on Mac OS 10.6.8 using Illustrator CS5 15.0.2 and get the:
"Unable to Create Java VM"
message when starting Illustrator. Unfortunately, I don't see any files in the /Logs folder. I removed Scriptographer folder and replaced w/ the latest but still no luck. Scriptographer had worked previously on OS 10.5 w/ CS5, I'm not sure if it has something to do with upgrading to 10.6

Any recommendations/help would be appreciated

I will now download scriptographer again and install it again. I hope this helps.

If you delete the Scriptographer.aip file from your Illustrator > Zusatzmodule> Erweiterungen (I guess in English it is Illustrator > Plug ins > Extensions>), the messages disappear.

Now I have to find a way how I can install and use the Scriptographer.

I have the same problem of the people (Lara, Rom and koma) above:

"Unable to Create Java VM" followed by "Unable to Create Java VM"

If you delete Scriptographer, Illustrator works just fine.

The strange it's that I've used Scriptographer about a year and a half. I don't know why one day it suddenly crashs. Maybe any automatic update of a related software? I Really don't know.

Did somebody find the solution?

I had fixed this a while ago so I don't remember the exact solution (sorry). I upgraded past OSX 10.6 and it works fine now (I'm on OSX 10.7). I had also reinstalled Illustrator due to some upgrade issues, so I'm not sure that was the fix. You may want to try to update your OS first to find the fix.
