I can't get the rasters to work either, even embedding the raster and following all posted advice to date. Really dissapointed if you or anyone out there can help!!!

I am aware that the raster scripts badly need an update.

Until then, a few tips:

• Use embedded images, not linked ones.
• Use small images. If they are too big, rasterize them again at a small size and 72DPI, in order to get pixel dimensions around 100 x 100 (or not much more).

Please let me know if that does the trick.

Thanks to you both. I'm currently splitting images into sections and process them like that, which seems to be a work around (as we need a raster resolution that seems to cause problems).

I think you're just running out of memory. Did you try this possible solution?

Just tried that: A larger chunk of the raster gets processed, but it would still stop somewhere in line 194 (I tried a 200 x 200 px raster), no matter whether I set -Mmx256m or -Mmx1024m; the console reports an "Unknown Error".

Just in case anyone is struggling on CS3 Mac the embedding of the image cleared up all my raster issues. Thanks for the help posted above.

Today I finally found the source of this memory problem. It was related to caching of Java object wrappers and circular references that did not allow wrapper objects to be garbage collected. Exptect an update soon.

Bummer - the results displayed on this site look great ... but, whatever i do ( (ex)changing the raster script ):
It wouldn't work. not even let me look at the settings panel
