I have the same problem, it's a bit annoying when I'm making data tables with lots of numbers... can anyone help?

It's really annoying, you need to use the numbers on the top of the keyboard and that's not very useful.

That's not the intended behavior. Could you please tell me what keyboard layout you are on?

I'm using the ABNT2 Portuguese keyboard layout.
The link you sent helped, but not the way it was explained. I had to comment all the 'if', disabling the shortcut, but it's excellent.

What version of Windows are you using? I just tried to replicate this on Windows XP, with no luck.

So if you press 0, the Scriptographer tool gets activated? That's very strange...

I can confirm this happens, at least on windows 7 64bits, CS4, latest sg 2.7 version, Spanish keyboard layout. I don't have any custom keyboard shortcuts set.

I'm using Windows 7 64bits with CS4 and Sg 2.7 too. Maybe this bug happens with this configuration.
Jürg: that's only with the 0 in the numeric keyboard.

I just tried to replicate this. The only access I have to Windows 7 is through VMWare Fusion on Mac OS X, and in this configuration all works well. I do have an external keyboard with a numerical key block and tried with that. It worked without any issues.

Just to make sure that this is not something that has been resolved by another change in the meantime, here a link to a most recent build. Could you both please test with this?

And if the problem persists, do you maybe have an add-on software installed that interferes with the keyboard input method in some way?

Just tested that latest build and the issue persists, as well as my other problem with the double accent mark thing.

This is a bit annoying since the key will change to the sg tool no matter what. I mean, I click on the artboard with the type tool and start typing and then press the numerical '0' key, it'll activate the sg tool. No need to be in a 'non-active state' to get this behaviour (I hope that phrase makes any sense).

About the add-on software, I don't know, I don't think so... I don't even have installed the crappy software that comes with logitech keyboards and can't think of anything that may interfere with it... And then again, note that this doesn't happen with sg v2.5.030 (latest build I downloaded prior to 2.7)

It makes sense that this does not happen in 2.5, as there is no keyboard event handling there yet.

It is very strange that I cannot replicate this behavior... I shall look into the code shortly and hopefully find an indication for what could go wrong on your system. It is very hard though to fix a bug that does not happen on my system, and returning to 2.5 behavior is not really an option, as we want keyboard event support or other things.
