I'm having trouble using this raster script. I can get the object raster to work well but not the stroke raster. Any advice?

Thanks!

Ian-
what sort of trouble are you having? Is the script not bringing up a prompt to begin, or is it not completing?

I'm having a similar problem with the rasters. I get the prompts but it never completes...it starts running quickly but the progress soon slows as it nears completion....usually forcing me to cancel or ending in a freeze. Any tips?

I'm having a similar problem with STROKE RASTER. The blue processeing bar slows to a freeze and then I zoom out of the entire art board and it has created a GIANT version of what the script is supposed to do!

You would think you could just scale it down but there is an additional problem, it's made of THOUSANDS of lines. All over lapping.

Does anyone have any advice for me?

I'm using the latest script download package on Illustrator CS, with a MAC 1.5 GHz powerPC G4, running OS X 10.3.9

Bryan-

Have you tried downsampling the raster image with the Object>Rasterize command? The size of the scripted result is tied directly to the resolution of the image you're processing. If you want to get rid of the 'overlapping', shrink the the stroked line you're copying. If it's smaller/larger than each pixel of the rasterized image then you'll have gaps/overlapping. If it's about a 1:1, then the new stroked lines will meet up evenly.
Hope this helps ya.

Thanks for the replys I have figured out that if I raserize the image first then use a very small stroke it works fine. Now I am on to figure out the color raster. if anyone knows about that drop a line
