I would send you the files from the Logs folder, but the java.log file alone has a size of 22mb! I could upload the files to my server an send you the download link. Would this also be okay?

The Logs folder is inside the Scriptographer folder that you installed in Adobe Illustrator.

Would you be up for sharing your computer with us for a little while through Skype? This would really help identifying and fixing the problem.

got the exact same problem: no error essage, no scriptographer, no nothing.

installing into cs4 on w7.

has there been any development to this issue?

nailed it! followed Lehni's advice (19. November 2009, 12:26), installed 32 bit version of java and scriptographer ran immediately.

Could everybody who experiences this problem please try out the instructions I just posted in the thread Multiple menu listing? Also, could we all carry on the discussion there instead of scattered across 5 threads?
