Crumpler is a mouse based tool that folds vectors like paper.

  • Clicking any item in the document starts treating it as a sheet of paper.
  • By dragging the mouse, the paper is then folded away from the nearest corner or middle point on the side of it.
  • If the item to be folded consists of a group of multiple items, their sequence is reversed on each fold to produce a visual effect of seeing the front / back side of the paper.
  • Combine this with transparency settings to get a see through effect of half-transparent paper, as demonstrated in the movie.

This is really great, love it! Extremely cool making illustrator into something where things behave like physical materials.

Brilliant tool, works perfectly for the first fold, but if i try multiple folds, it doubles the object after the second one, so i lose the folding effect. do you have any ideas why this happens?

thanks.

To all of you experiencing problems, could you please describe in detail what exactly you experience, and what is not working / malfunctioning? Just saying it does not work won't help much, as it obviously works at our end. Do you get error messages in the console? Can you describe the malfunctioning and steps to reproduce it? If required please send materials to illustrate the issues to team(at)scriptographer.org. Thank you.

Well as others were saying:

When you do the first fold everything works fine. As soon as you do the second fold you don't see the mask that's over the object anymore.

Could you send a fie with the object in question to the address mentioned above, both in unfolded / wrongly folded state? Thanks.

An email was just sent to you.

Perhaps the problem could be I'm working on CS2?

Same issue,

OSX 10.6
CS4

nothing output to the console. Mask not rendered after first 'fold'.

Thanks, this certainly has a lot of promise!
