You need to upgrade to 2.0.019, where Grayscale was renamed to GrayColor

Hiroyuki,

These are two very nice new scripts! I really appreciate your contributions to Scriptographer.

Thank you!

Thanks, Lehni, I obviously wasn't up to date.
It works and it it's great!

Very nice!

I would really like to see an option without the randomness.. Maybe have cube/cylinder rotate based on the movement of the mouse?

The multiplication of the 3d forms is referring to a motion, so why not make it based on something logical?

I believe that when using tools, the graphics should be a logical result of the way the tool was used. I think when people understand this logic by looking at the product of the tool something magical happens..

Thank you for correction that I should have done!
I can't participate enough with deep discussions due to my English ability, so I'd like to upload the files.

In the scripts above, the rotation value is defined just randomly. There is no logic. And the result is what I expected.
But I think a tool has more fun if it can react to the intuitive feel of the mouse movement.
Maybe this is what you felt.
Anyway, I wrote 2 more samples below.
Though I wonder if these can be an answer to your suggestion, these have no random value based behavior.
I wish I could flavor these with some more logic.

Hiroyuki,

I especially like the first one! I can really work with it, and the outcome doesn't only depend on my mouse movement but also me reacting on what I did before. Now I can actually use it as a tool to solve a problem, while before I was using it as a random brush. It becomes more Tool and less Filter, if you understand what I mean..

Maybe I shouldn't really be talking about this tool specifically, but more about tools in general.. I'll start another thread in general discussions on this soon!

Sorry if I was missing your point...
I'd like to join the another discussion if possible.
Anyway what I'm thinking about sometimes is a tool that depends on only random values may be not enough to be called as a real "interactive" tool (though it can be very useful).

Hi all,

just made the update of the recent version of scriptographer, but after installing it in the plug-in folder the illustrator program won't run. I work with system version 10.3.9 on a 17" e-mac with cs1. Any tips anyone? Thanks! Iwan
