Scriptographer.org - Font Rhythm

Font Rhythm allows you to do different effect with letters, words or selected text.

features:
 • Act on words, letters, selected text.
 • change fonts.
 • Stretch text.
 • Text growing.
 • Wave text.
 • Rotation.

Font Rhythm was created by Guillaume Chabot Vincent Delaleu, Hugo Hoppmann & Olga Prader. the Scriptographer workshop «Outils Utiles» at ECAL, March 2010. Thanks to Jürg Lehni and Jonathan Puckey.

Getting a "Cannot convert points to com.scriptographer.ui.TextUnits Cannot convert points to com.scriptographer.ui.TextUnits"
when trying to run script on Illustrator CS4 on a PC

Sorry,  i'm on mac, i got Scriptographer 2.9.065 and it works for cs4 & cs5. The console get you some errors when you don't select a text for exemple and it's also slow when you activate every effects.

This error is happening, because a couple of the components use: units: 'points', this should be: units: 'point'

I have also updated the code to use the type: 'font' component - this should speed things up a bit.

I've attached the fixed script to this message - Guillaume, maybe you want to replace your version with this one?

Would it be possible to define the fonts that the "randomize fonts" effect will use?

is there a way of directing the randomize fonts option at a select group of fonts? could this be achieved by altering the path to a specific folder within the users font library ... app.fonts/foldername or something?

get:"Cannot convert Helvetica Regular to com.scriptographer.ai.FontWeight"

I think it means you do not have the Helvetica font installed. The error message is very generic, I will look into a way to make that particular one more specific ;)

Hallo dear Jonathan,
pls a have a question, do you have same idea, why don't working funkcion "select words" and select letter" on my computer. Everything else works alright. I working on mac and CS4.
If a choose menu "select words" or "select letter" and select word in my document console write me this:

TypeError: Cannot read property "words" from undefined
at Tutorials/FontRythm.js:212
