Scriptographer.org - Text Pencil

Text Pencil lets you draw with text.

Note: To use Text Pencil you will need to download and install the latest version of Scriptographer (2.8.050 or above)

I used an earlier version of Text Pencil to create a poster

New features in v1.5:
• Allows the use of non monospaced fonts
• Draw with words
• Perfect spacing (turn it off for less perfect spacing)
• Select the position in the text with a popup list.

Hi, has the program worked for someone in a PC?

(I mean the dropdown menu)

I think it has the same bug as the tile tool displayed, before jonathan uploaded his fix.. I have the same problem!

I just uploaded a new version which is fixed for pc.

It works fine on my PC with WinXP pro and CS2. Well, almost fine. I have a load of fonts on my computer and I can't see them all when I go to change font. It gives me a menu as tall as my screen but I can't scroll down to see any of the fonts outside of that range. I don't even make it to "B" on the alphabetical listing!

Cool script though otherwise.

Running OSX 10.4.8 on a G4 Powerbook. Illustrator CS.

Hey, when i try and use this script the console pops up and doesnt work. any help? i have the script in the right folder just cant get it to work...

this is what pops up when i try to use this tool...i deleted the first four lines of the .js like you said for someone else that didnt help...and i tried it with those four lines..still nothing...

Thanks for the heads up.. The new version of Scriptographer seems to be handlinfg pointTexts in a new way.. I will fix this very soon.

This is due to a small change in the last version of the plugin, where I got rid of all the constructors that take document as a parameter. Jonathan will need to change the script. I try to avoid these changes as much as possible, but as the API is not frozen yet, they can happen from time to time.
