hi, i got some trouble with the "color averaging image areas"...maybe someone can help me?

this is how i did it:

1. place an image
2. put a path over the image
3. click on "execute"
4. warning-note with this text: "please select an image and at least one path"

so, what did i do wrong?
sometime it works, but mostly not. does anyone have a clue?
