Hi!

My older version of Scripto stopped working after the Java update.
Before I was running Java 5.2 and everything was working, however with the latest version of both Scriptographer and Java, I'm still having no luck. (CS4, 32bit)

Any ideas?

Right now I am completely in the dark as the plugin works on all the machines I am testing on. So in order to find out more, I need the help of the users who encounter the issue.

Do I understand you right? Even after the upgrade of Java, if you go back to a previous version of Sg, it still works now, but the current one does not? If you have not tried that yet, could you please do so? You can get the previous versions here:

If that does indeed work, would you be willing to do some tests? I would send you a new version that does more logging, so I could hopefully get some insights into what exactly is going on.

And could anybody else experiencing this issue do the same test with a previous version?

yesterday I´ve updated my scriptographer to the CS4 version "Scriptographer 2.6.036 for Illustrator CS4" (windows), the older version runs (version for CS3 in Illu CS4) and the newer version also runs.

But after a Java update from java 6. anything to 6.18 (I think) today, Sg was no longer working, neither visible. So I try to install Sg again, but now I dont see any new entry in the windows menu.
To your question- I´ve now tried to install both older version from your link above, but they do not work too.

Sorry for being a little vague. No, the older version of Sg does not work after the updated Java. It seems like Java is responsible for this, as Sg just disappeared after the update.

Ok, here is a version with debug information enabled. This should create a file called native.log inside the Logs directory. Could you please try this out and attach the results here? Thanks.
