Hi -
Am trying to install the plug-in on XP running CS4.
I have dropped the unzipped folder into the plug-ins are of illustrator
( C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS4\Plug-ins )
but when i relaunch....nothing happens. no error...but scriptographer is not added or installed anywhere.

Do you have a 32 Bit Java Virtual Machine installed on your machine? Did you follow the instructions mentioned on the downloads page and in the Installation Instructions tutorial? If so, what is contained in the Logs folder inside Scriptographer after execution?
i've got the same problem. i'm running cs5 on windows 7(64bit), I installed java runtime environment 32bit (v6.23) and extracted scriptographer into the plugins folder, starting illustrator no window announcing scriptographer opens and I can't find it in the windows section either. the logs file remains empty
