ok, so I'm having some problems.

I can create a layer fine, but telling all new art to stick to a particular layer is proving tricky, It seems I have to read whatever I'm trying to move and recreate it on the new layer, which is not in the least ideal. Can anyone help?

Also, with regards to stopping the computer from crashing with my complex scripts, the redraw() func has helped a lot, but still isn't perfect. I'm thinking that if I created increments of the design onto layers, then hid that particular layer and started drawing on a new one, that might help. Has anyone had any luck with this, and is it possible to hide layers programmatically?
