Scriptographer.org - Problem with Java startup

Hi all,

I'm getting "Unable to create Java VM" and "Unable to create ScriptographerEngine." errors whe I start up AI (CS2 on Win XP SP3). It used to work fine, I'm not sure what triggered the problem - maybe a Java Update a while back? Java is v6u20.

What could be the issue?

Had the same experience when I updated Java to v6u20

I'm not using the latest Scriptographer, my ver is 2.0.023. I did ensure I had both 32 and 64bit Java versions installed.

I've gone back to an older version of Java for now so I can contine as before.

which older version of Java is it you're using now?

I was lazy and used a version I already had, v6u15.
but I should download and try v6u19.

Yes, this is a know problem with recent versions of Java. Did you try the temporary solution described on page 3 of this topic already? The next version will come with a workaround that hopefully will prevent this from happening...
