Hi!
Just like Avnss some posts ago, I am trying to get the raster scripts to work... I have no problems with any other script, but with the raster scripts. How do they work?

That's the way I do it now: I copy a monochrome bitmap image or a grayscale image from Photoshop into Illustrator. Then I draw a small line and place it under the image (like I have been told in the installation guide). Now I use the object_raster.js. I'm prompted to enter grid size (10) and object size (100%). After I have done that, Illustrator: a) tells me "[...]:Scriptographer Scripts:Rasters:raster.js: line 54: error: ReferenceError: drawDot is not defined" or b) just crashes.
(I am using Illustrator CS / OS X 10.4)

Is there anybody out there to help...?

thank you for the help! sadly, it still doesn't work... i still get the same error message.
except that it says "line 51" now, but that's cause i was playing around with the script before and changed up the lines, but now it's the original one again.

as i said, the error message says [i:691ddfdcb0]"drawDot is not defined"[/i:691ddfdcb0], so i guess the drawDot function cannot be found by the script. maybe that's because it's not getting the values of the prompt before drawDot is defined (since it's if (values) { [...] };)

ahh, and another thing, when i execute the script, i get a new group (but without any objects) in illustrators layer window. so something's happening anyway...

man... i really want to use this feature![/i][/code]

i couldn't get it to work myself. i get the exactly same error as described by danny.

i just tried your script. it worked all fine (just took a while to process).
output :

rasterize, cmyk, 72 dpi (works also if i skip this one)
draw object (fill black, no outline)
switch to outlinemode
play script "object_raster.js"
wait for a long time

done.

hmm.. im wondering if i should try to use a product of the tree.js script or some of my fizzles as the rasterobject :P

Hello, just a quick question.

Approximately how long should the raster function take to process? It takes about 15 minutes for my machine to process only a quarter of the image set to 72 dpi BW. Is this normal? I have a 1.5 Gh processor. OS 10.3.9
